NeighborWorks® Resource Group Hosts Community Day
In celebration of the national NeighborWorks® Week program, NeighborWorks® Resource Group hosted a free Community Day on Saturday, June 12, 2010. Activities included free food and music, children's games and moon bounce, the Bon Secours Care-A-Van, displays and information by local businesses supporting affordable housing in Central Virginia, and displays by the Richmond Fire Department and Richmond Police Department.

NeighborWorks® Resource Group first Annual "Drive for Life"
On March 31, NeighborWorks® Resource Group hosted our first "Drive for Life" event, a combination Blood Drive to benefit our benefit neighborhood Virginia Blood Services, as well as a Peanut Butter & Tuna (PB&T) Drive to benefit the Central Virginia Food Bank. In conjunction with the event, participants were entered into a drawing to win prizes such as a Portable, Digital LCD TV and gift cards from local neighborhood home & garden stores.

NeighborWorks® Resource Group Welcomes New Executive Director
NeighborWorks® Resource Group has announced Cindy A. Mims has been selected as the executive director. Board president, Charlotte Edwards commented, "We are excited to have Cindy on board as the permanent executive director. Cindy's leadership will be instrumental in moving NeighborWorks® Resource Group forward as an organization. With her vision, work ethic, and guidance, NeighborWorks® Resource Group will be able to move in the direction of achieving our strategic goals for 2010 and beyond. NeighborWorks® Resource Group Sponsors 6th District Meeting
Along with several other Northside community organizations, NeighborWorks® Resource Group was pleased to host and sponsor the February District 6 community meeting. Vice President of City Council and 6th District Councilwoman, Ellen F. Robertson, presided over the 76th Monthly Town Meeting, for a presentation titled "Focus on Financial Relief." View Flyer.
